What a Day to Remember.

🥇 Right FM named Best Small Business at the Kimberly-Clark Professional™ Golden Service Awards 2024.
On 23 May 2024, we hopped on a train to London with butterflies in our stomachs and smiles on our faces. Our destination? The iconic Park Lane Hilton. The occasion? The Kimberly-Clark Professional™ Golden Service Awards 2024 – the industry’s flagship event for recognising excellence in cleaning and facilities management.
We were thrilled just to be named finalists in the Best Small Business category. Honestly, we saw it as a perfect opportunity to meet like-minded professionals, celebrate what’s great about our sector, and maybe come away with some fresh inspiration. After all, this was our very first year as a company — being shortlisted alone felt like a big win.
What we didn’t expect… was to actually win.
✨ The Moment We’ll Never Forget
The ballroom was standing room only – packed with over 500 professionals from across the FM world. There was energy, laughter, and a sense of pride in what we all do, day in and day out. Sitting among such an accomplished crowd, we were genuinely taken aback by the number of people who already knew of us — and had been watching our journey unfold. That alone was surreal.
Then came the announcement.
Peter Dickson, that unmistakable voice from The X Factor, called out the finalists in our category. Just hearing Right FM mentioned felt surreal. But then, Hugh Dennis – actor, comedian, and host extraordinaire – opened the envelope… and read out our name.
Right FM.
We looked at each other in total disbelief. Then came the cheers, the flashing cameras, the applause. We floated to the stage, adrenaline surging, as Peter read out highlights of our journey so far – our values, our people-first culture, our smart innovations, and our passion for making a difference.
Being handed the award by Hugh Dennis and Craig Bowman, Commercial Director of Kimberly-Clark Professional™ UK & Ireland, was more than just a career high. It was a moment we’ll never forget.

🏅 Recognition from the Best in the Business
This wasn’t just a celebration. It was an endorsement.
Now in its 30+ year history, the Golden Service Awards are the benchmark for exceptional standards in the cleaning and FM industries. Organised biennially by Kimberly-Clark Professional™, the awards honour the incredible people, businesses, and ideas that are pushing the sector forward.
This year’s competition saw 30% more entries than ever before, with an increased focus on sustainability, staff wellbeing, and innovation. The judging was carried out independently by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) — ensuring total fairness and rigour.
Neil Spencer Cook, Group Managing Director at BICSc, praised this year’s entries for showcasing how FM is evolving:
“The passion from entrants really shines through. There’s a stronger focus on valuing people, improving working conditions, and tackling modern-day challenges with creativity and care.”
And when it came to Right FM, the judges shared this glowing feedback:
“This small business has achieved so much and should be very proud of themselves. Looking forward to seeing how they grow and develop moving forward.”
